How to Add TREC Forms on Social Media Sites

• Add your Market Center logo

• Add the KWRI Ownership Statement “Each office is Independently Owned and Operated” on your page and posts.

TRELA §1101.652(b)(23)].

NAR does include URLs, Domain names, etc. as part of their advertising standards.

drive, or divert Internet traffic; or

4. presenting content developed by others without either attribution or without
permission, or

5. otherwise misleading consumers, including use of misleading
images. (Adopted 1/07, Amended 1/18)

How to Add TREC Forms on Social Media Sites

Facebook Business Page & Personal Profile

Business Page:

• A completed TREC Information About Brokerage Services Form and a TREC Consumer Protection Notice must be added to your page as a post, and pinned to the top of your post feed.

• Identify yourself as a REALTOR®

• Identify your broker, KELLER WILLIAMS® Realty, Dallas Metro North

• Add your Market Center logo

• Add the KWRI Ownership Statement “Each office is Independently Owned and Operated” on your page and posts.

There are additional requirements as to the size of the broker information, etc. that are listed in the general advertising rules and the social media advertising rules. This document is focused on how to add the TREC forms and pin them to the top of your page.

Personal Profile:

If you represent yourself as a REALTOR® in any way on your personal profile, you must make sure your two TREC forms (see above) are also added along with identifying yourself as a REALTOR® and your broker’s information, KELLER WILLIAMS® Realty, Dallas Metro North. See below for instructions on
how to add this information to your personal profile.

Instructions to Add Required Information

Business Page
1. The best way to add your Market Center logo is to use a graphics editor to add the KW DMN
logo to your Business Page cover photo. You can use many graphics editors to do this, one
method is to use a free canva.com account.

2. Be sure you have an image file (jpg or png) of your completed TREC Information About
Brokerage Services form and your TREC Consumer Protection Notice available.

3. Login to your Facebook account

4. Go to your Business Page

5. Add a post to your page that have both TREC forms added as images, then add needed text per the below image. Then “Post”. The text on this image below is an example that is a good way to cover several requirements at one time.

6. Pin the post to the top of your newsfeed by selecting the 3 horizontal dots on the top right of the post, and then select “pin post”. This keeps your post at the top of your page.

7. Verify your post looks similar to the image below.
